Raising shih-tzu puppies takes a lot of work and a lot of love which we have plenty of. Our females are our babies and their babies are our babies. I help with the delivery of each puppy and I also stay with my new puppies for the first 24 hours of their life. I have helped with the delivery of 108 puppies from 2000 to 2010 and of those 108, five were stillborn.
I had thought 2010 would be Bandi's last year to have babies. 2010 was the first time Toby and Bandi bred and Toby was little larger than Gizmo. I have discussed it with my vet and may breed Bandi one more time to Gizmo to see if she has the problem she had delivering Toby's babies. She has not had problems previously with Gizmo.
So, keep an eye out - Bandi may give me one more litter.

We do not have kennels nor are we a puppy mill. The puppies are raised right in the living room with everyday activity. We have 3 females that live in our home with us. They even sleep with us. The males that we use for studding belong to friends and family.
My females are very spoiled and well behaved girls. They are a big part of our life and go wherever we go. They are treated so well, they think they are human!
Deposits can be made at any time to reserve your puppy to ensure your choice of sex. Deposits will hold puppies until they are 6-8 weeks old. If I am unable to provide you with a puppy then deposits can be refunded although deposits are not refunded for a "change of mind".
Phone calls and/or visits are encouraged once puppies are born and deposits are made. This gives you the customer a chance to see how I raise my puppies and you can feel comforable knowing you are getting your puppy from a good home. This time also gives the puppy a chance to get to know you so when you take the puppy home with you, he/she is already familiar with your scent which will help with the transition to an unfamiliar home.
We spend a lot of time with our puppies so they are familiar with people and children handling them. We expose them to the outside world at the age of 4 weeks to begin teaching them going outside to use the bathroom.
